Calgary Climate Week takes place across three distinct venues, each chosen to reflect the energy and diversity of the city itself. From a landmark downtown office tower to Canada’s largest living history museum to a vibrant neighbourhood event space, every setting is part of the story.
The Ampersand

Located in the heart of Calgary’s downtown core, The Ampersand’s striking lobby, stylish lounges, and vibrant common areas make it the perfect place to come together, make connections, and feel the energy of something big just beginning. As we kick off Calgary Climate Week, there’s no better backdrop for the conversations, relationships, and ideas that will carry us through the week!
Getting Here:
- The nearest CTrain stop is 1 Street SW Station on 7 Avenue, just three blocks south — a short walk north along 1st Street SW brings you to the front door.
- All downtown CTrain stations fall within Calgary Transit’s free fare zone, so if you’re traveling along the 7 Avenue corridor, your ride is free.
- The building is also connected to the downtown +15 network and well-served by the downtown bike lane grid.
Sustainability Highlights:
- The Ampersand holds BOMA BEST certification, one of Canada’s most recognized green building standards, as well as a Breathscore air quality certification.
- Recognition as a GRESB Real Estate Premier Partner, reflecting its commitment to health, wellness, and sustainable building operations. It’s a fitting launchpad for a week built around climate action.




The Brownstone

Calgary Climate Week was designed to feel inviting and accessible and The Brownstone feels exactly like that.
Nestled in downtown Calgary with views of the Calgary Tower and an 1,800 sq ft private patio, this light-filled, modern industrial space was built for gathering, connecting, and exchanging ideas. Whether you’re a seasoned sustainability leader or simply curious about what Calgary’s climate future looks like, this is your room.
Getting Here:
- The closest CTrain station is Victoria Park/Stampede on the Red Line, approximately a 10-minute walk north along Macleod Trail SE.
- Several Calgary Transit bus routes serve the Victoria Park neighbourhood.
- Street parking is available right out front on 10th Avenue SE free for up to four hours before 6pm, and free all evening after 6pm.
- A pay-by-the-hour parking option is also available at the Indigo lot directly across the street.





Heritage Park
1900 Heritage Drive SW
Directions
Spanning 65 acres with over 14 unique event spaces, Heritage Park is Canada’s largest living history museum and one of Calgary’s most storied venues. Heritage Park will host the wrap up event and lend it’s natural beauty as the backdrop for our AFCC Indigenous Arts & Culture Showcase.
Getting Here:
- Take the Red Line CTrain south to Heritage Station. Trains run every 10 minutes from downtown and the trip takes about 21 minutes.
- From Heritage Station, Bus Route 502 runs directly to the Heritage Park entrance.
- The MAX Teal and MAX Yellow Rapid Transit buses also stop at the foot of the parking area, about a five-minute walk from the entrance.
- Heritage Station has a 557-space park-and-ride lot if you’re driving partway and hopping on transit.
Sustainability Highlights:
- Heritage Park operates 323 solar panels across four rooftops, producing 128 kW of power
- Their Innovation Crossing interpretive centre incorporates solar, earth tubes, and biomass furnaces.
- A full-circle food system composts all food waste to nourish on-site gardens, with some produce traveling just a few hundred steps from gate to plate.
- They use drought-resistant plants, water conservation practices, and LED lighting throughout, with plans to retrofit their historic train and paddle wheeler to electric engines.
